NONE of which were a thing in medieval times! In fact, medieval-era art actually sucked. Thus, the works we call "medieval fantasy" are actually more like "renaissance without the guns" (except in the rare cases where guns do get put back in!) Now, I am not one of those Enlightenment dorks, I'm fully aware that the Ancient Greek era was just as bad if not even WORSE than the middle ages, it's just that the codifiers of the Medieval Fantasy genre lived in a time obviously far ahead from it already, and of course they wrote the world as they knew it.
